 The Transgender American Veterans Association is a TLGB group whose goal is to help veterans and victims of disasters in our communities. The TAVA is looking for volunteers as well as new members to help them fulfill this much needed position, especially after the compelling stories of last year's disaster victims, stuck in the middle with nobody to turn to.
There are volunteer positions along with memberships available for those who may be interested in helping Transgender American Veterans or those who are struck by a natural disaster. These are advocacy groups that are being set up throughout this nation.
As of today, there are chapters in Ohio and Wisconsin.
 The states that need the most attention as far as getting people as members or as an officer, so a chapter can be started, are located in these states:
Arkansas
California
Colorado
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Missouri
New York
North Carolina
Ohio
South Carolina
Tennessee
Texas.
If you, or anyone you know would like to help, either in the forefront or behind the scenes, you will be greatly appreciated. You don't have to be just transgendered. Gays, Lesbians, and anyone in Society will be welcomed with open arms.
